Hallo, I was told to drink Rasberry Tea as often as possible, while trying to conceive. When I went to my Health Store the lady told me that this herb is used to induce labour! Now I am really confused. Shall I, can I go on drinking this tea? Thanks Jaqui

Red raspberry tea is  NOT taken to induce labor!! It tonifies the uterus so is an aid prior to and during labor. It is also a soothing tea and good to drink in moderate amounts by both women and men.

I may be wrong, and am sure I'll be corrected if I am! I worked with a midwife, and she used several herbs during labor, but this wasn't one of them! Red Raspberry tones the uterus, is good for all of the female reproductive system! Good luck!

Correct raspberry leaf is a tonifier, not an abortifacient, as an earlier post quoting a 'health food store employee' or some such 'half baked herbalist' (see my post on *that* subject!).   Raspberry leaf is totally non-toxic, helpful and can be drunk freely.
